Catastrophe & Cure can now look back on ten years of band history. Since the release of their first album “Like Crazy Doves” in 2012 (FM4 Amadeus Award), the band has been a leader in the Austrian independent music scene. Catastrophe & Cure released their second album “Undeniable/Irresistible” in 2015, breaking new ground and opening their voice to electronic influence. Two years later, after numerous tours in Austria and Germany, the band released their mini-album “Blank Spots” and a song “On the Internet”. The latter it was chosen by the famous international music blog Indie Shuffle as one of the best indie rock songs of 2017, and Castronphe & Cure released a new album “Somewhere Down the Line”. The quintet has revived a love of heavy guitar songwriting that can be traced almost to its roots. Listening to a recording, it quickly becomes clear that the song can’t be locked in one particular position. Powerful drums meet rotating synthesizers, scratchy electric guitars and melancholic vocals. After years of experimentation, the work in the band has found a new peace and the first single from the eponymous album “Somewhere Down the Line” quickly entered the band.
