On September 6, 2019, a new album was released by Wanda, which has revolutionized the German rock in the last five years with the left hand. Every time they perform, they listen to the audience intensely. Wanda is the Austrian indie pop band formed in Vienna in 2012.
Their debut album Amore was released in October 2014 on “Problembär Records” and debuted at number 13 on the Austrian album charts on October 31, 2014. Their single Bologna (referring to the Italian city) was released in early 2015 and reached #42 on April 10, 2015. Wanda’s first tour took place at the end of 2014 and the band launched a second one in February 2015, with stops in Austria, Germany and Switzerland (i.e. German-speaking countries). On October 2, 2015, their second album Bussi was released.
Their indie pop style is influenced by both rock ‘n’ roll and Austropop (Austrian singer-songwriters). They describe their music as “pop music with ‘amore’”. Their songs are sung in German, with a more or less pronounced Viennese dialect.
